This role will be tasked with leading business development and consulting efforts including key prestige accounts with a focus on strategic and long-term partnership sales, external project and client management and internal leadership. A proven track record in naming rights and sponsorship sales, business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and solution-based approach are key elements for this role. Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development across prestige accounts in Innovative Partnerships Group’s portfolio
- Manage day to day business development activities including setting face to face in-person meetings, virtual meetings, strategic outreach, phone calls for introductory leads pitches/presentations, proposals and term sheet development
- Manage end-to-end sales process from outreach to contract execution for naming rights, founding sponsorships, B2B partnerships in the high six figures to nine-figure annual range.
- Lead communication with prestige accounts across business development and ongoing account management including action plans and key workstreams
- Project manage and supervision of studio (i.e. account management, creative, valuation and consulting etc) to generate new business & sales activities as determined by leadership and track against deadlines
- Manage individual and key account business development pipelines in Salesforce CRM
- Organize, prepare & lead weekly external client meetings and/or virtual calls including agendas, deliverable tracking, pipeline reports and ongoing key account prioritization
- Collaborate with Business Development Studio to identify key prospects within database of contacts and contribute to further development of the database
- Ongoing reporting to leadership on assigned prestige accounts including projections & overall business opportunities on time-sensitive & as needed basis
- Other activities as directed in connection with supporting business
- This role will most likely require travel
Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- MBA or Post-graduate degree is a plus, but not required
- 10+ years of solution-oriented experience in business development and/or partnership sales and consulting preferably in sports, entertainment
- National/global sponsorship sales agency experience preferred
- Deep and proven Rolodex of global & domestic brands and agency contacts
- Deep understanding of executing strategic and consultative sales programs
- Proven ability to source, negotiate and close major long-term partnerships
- Ability to think differently and create new partnership inventory, IP, and platforms as part of the sales process
- Able to work independently on the end-to-end prospecting to negotiating of the partnership deal with very little guidance from senior leadership
- Proven track record of clear and successful project & client management as well as a high degree of confidence in external C-level meetings under tight deadlines
- A high degree of accountability for servicing clients with consistency
- A team-first mentality and can thrive in a fast-paced, high octane organization
- Software skills (MSOffice: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; iOS Creative: Keynote, Pages; Salesforce CRM; other sales prospecting tools)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage executive calendar(s), travel arrangements, memberships, events, daily/weekly agendas, and Rolodex
- Coordinate internal and external meetings for the Managing Director and other senior executives
- Help the Managing Director and other senior executives as needed prepare for the internal and external meetings, including research, draft agendas, assist in developing presentations, reviewing documents
- Serve as an active participant during internal and external meetings (primarIly alongside senior executive team), taking notes and summarizing outputs / next steps
- Proactively communicate and coordinate meetings with C-level executives, prospective Company clients and strategic partners across various industries, time zones and on behalf of senior leadership
- Support the Managing Director to ensure coordination, integration and communication between divisions
- Process expense reports for the Managing Director and other executives as requested
- Provide sales and lead generation support to the Managing Director and the Consultative Business Development team including outreach/prospecting, managing follow ups and coordinating calls/meetings
- Salesforce CRM pipeline management on behalf of the Managing Director and other executive team members
- Organize Salesforce CRM database, ensuring stage, contact information, activity / next steps, etc. are reflected in a timely manner on behalf of Managing Director and executive level employees
- Organize and pull end of week sales reports for executive leadership team in coordination with other team members. Reports to be completed and delivered to leadership by Friday’s at 6pm PST
- Support proposal, presentations and concept creation development
- Lead on special research projects focused on business development outreach
- Stay abreast with related news and events and share regular updates with the Managing Director and the Consultative Business Development studio
- Save all files on shared drive, when appropriate
- Organize and clean share drive, ensuring cohesive folders / organization across accounts and projects
- Create v-cards for executive team
- Other sales and administrative activities as determined by the leadership
Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 2+ years of experience in administrative, business development support and/or coordination, preferably within sports & entertainment
- Proven track record of effective organization, proactive communication and timely responses
- Eagerness to wear multiple hats and get involved with an array of projects, ranging from administrative duties to strategic business planning and creative development
- Team-oriented and can work within a fast-paced start-up environment
- Proven track record of clear project & client fulfillment and a high degree of confidence preparing for internal & external C-level meetings under tight deadlines
- A high degree of accountability for servicing clients with consistency
- Passion for consulting and business development within sponsorship, marketing and partnerships in sports & entertainment
- Proficient in written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with Technology & Software Tools (MSOffice: Excel, Word, Powerpoint; iOS Creative Suite: Keynote, Pages; Salesforce CRM and other software tools are a plus

Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with all Innovative Partnerships Group studios (Consultative Business Development, Valuation & Consulting, Creative Solutions, and IP & Asset Creation).
Our interns in the Consultative Business Development department will primarily support IPG’s CEO and Business Development team members in activities focused on lead generation, prospect research, proposal development, and outbound sales efforts. Additional time will be spent with the Partnership Solutions team where you will be able to learn from best-in-class professionals on how to build relationships with clients, develop strategies, and effectively plan, manage, & execute projects.

Job Duties
- Provide support to business development team, including sales pipeline updates, profiling, meeting prep, and prospect identification
- Support internal needs including notetaking, new business proposals, partnership proposals, & strategic brainstorming sessions
- Work closely with IPG team to build customized partnership proposals and presentations that best fit prospective companies’ target demographics, key markets, specific needs, and budget options
- Work alongside business development team members to find and identify new prospects and targets for sponsorships and partnerships with IPG’s marquee clients in sports, esports, entertainment, music, healthcare, and technology
- Ensure that all client touch points are prepared for and professionally coordinated (pre-meeting preparation, meeting management, post-meeting communication/action plan, timeline management, and deliverables tracking)
- Assist in managing CRM (Salesforce) and contact databases
- Assist in maintaining and updating sales materials as needed

Required Skills
